Porcelain Veneers – Let Us Transform Your Smile
Do you suffer from badly stained, chipped, or crooked teeth and feel it’s about time you did something about it? If so, you might want to consider porcelain veneers. Dental veneers can completely transform your smile with minimal fuss and little time commitment. What’s more, our highly experienced and dedicated team are here to give you the smile you really want.
But what exactly are dental porcelain veneers?
In essence, they’re super-thin, custom-made shell-like layers of porcelain which are permanently attached to the front of the teeth, thus covering up a multitude of problems. Because of the ease at which the process can be done, it’s one of the most popular cosmetic dental treatments available.
So why porcelain?
What type of problems can veneers treat?
There are many dental problems that dental veneers can help with. These include:
- Deeply ingrained stains that can’t be removed by teeth whitening processes
- Worn teeth
- Teeth that are uneven, gapped or misaligned
- Chipped or broken teeth
If you have any of the following dental problems and feel that it’s about time you fixed the situation, talk to our experienced dentists at Lyndarum Family Dentist about porcelain veneers. We can help you to transform your smile one tooth at a time.
Dental Veneers – How the process works
First dental visit
Tooth preparation – The next step is to prepare the teeth that are receiving veneers by removing approximately 1mm of tooth enamel to enable the veneers to sit flush with the rest of the teeth. This is an irreversible process and can only be replaced with new veneers.
Impression taking – An impression is taken and sent off to the dental laboratory who will be fabricating your custom veneers.
Receiving temporaries – Depending upon your dental needs, we’ll also fit you with a temporary set of veneers so that you can trial your new smile while you wait.
